Breaking: Apple stock is down 23% since the launch of Apple Music.
I know this is BS, but most financial news is BS. I only posted this because The Verge said today that Apple’s stock is down 18 percent since it launched that ugly iPhone battery case.
Now, we’re not saying that Apple’s ?incredibly ugly? battery case spooked investors and had a direct effect on the company’s stock price, but we’re not ?not saying that, either.
Sure, it’s a bit of provocation from The Verge, but I’d say that using the launch of Apple Music is a better milestone. Or it’s not. Or whatever.
Disclaimer: I own no Apple stock, so I couldn’t give a damn either way.
“I know this is BS, but most financial news is BS.”
Yup. This actually isn’t rocket science, though.
– The entire market has gone into bear market territory.
– More specifically to AAPL, Chinese middle-class consumption has fallen off a cliff, which is a massive market for iPhones. And that showed up in component orders shortfalls, and thus lousy projections for iPhone sales.

At one point earlier this week, the Dow was down 2,000 points over a three-week period.
