Get Amazon Prime for Only $72 Today Only

PrimeAmazon is having a one-day sale on its Amazon Prime service. Today, only, get a year of Amazon Prime for only $72.

Amazon Prime includes free two-day shipping, access to over a million songs, Prime Instant Video, and more. I use Amazon Prime here in the UK, where it offers next-day shipping, but no music. I do enjoy Amazon Prime Video, which is similar to Netflix in quality. Amazon has been creating some good exclusive TV series, and I find that, together with the free next-day shipping, it’s a good deal. Though I know that many people would rather buy Prime for shipping only, and not pay for the videos and music.

But with $27 off today, it might be a good time to try Prime.

  1. As a current Amazon Prime subscriber whose one-year membership is due to expire in March, I immediately investigated this deal, which alas, contains one major caveat: it applies to new subscriptions only, and not to those of us who already are members. There appears to be no way to renew or add on to present plans.

But for those who have been curious about its benefits or perhaps needed a sweetener to nudge them into membership, I wholeheartedly recommend taking advantage of this deal while it lasts.

    • According to iMore.com, you can purchase Prime as a gift, and sent it to yourself. Let your current subscription expire, and then apply the redemption code.

      • Thanks for the timely heads-up! ‘Course I wouldn’t have expected a company so self-promotingly customer-focussed as Amazon to let a choice detail like this out.

        But heck, that’s a 27% saving!
