If you’ve just gotten an Apple Watch, you may be a little overwhelmed by all the apps that get copied to it. There’s the stock Apple apps, of course, but many third-party apps – all those on your iPhone that have Apple Watch extensions – get copied as well.
There are two ways to delete apps from the Apple Watch. The first is from the Apple Watch app on the iPhone. Tap the name of an app, and then toggle Show App on Apple Watch:
On the watch itself, you can delete apps the same way you do on the iPhone. Tap and hold an app icon until it wiggles; you’ll see a tiny x at the top-left of the icon.
Tap that x; it’s not easy, because it’s very small, but after a few tries you’ll figure out where to hit.
You can now use the watch without so much clutter.
