When iOS 10 was released, Apple changed the way songs and albums on the Music app were sorted. Instead of being sorted by title by default, they were sorted by artist. And people needed to find the setting that could make the change to be able to sort in a more logical manner.
Apple has now released iOS 10.2, and they’ve changed the way you make this change. Thankfully, it’s a bit easier to find. If you view songs or albums in the Music app, you’ll see the word Sort at the top right of the display. Tap that to bring up a menu which lets you choose the sort option.
This makes more sense, because the sort option for each type of music – songs and albums – is independent.
