Improving the iOS 9 Videos App – Michael Tsai

“I find the iOS Videos app frustrating to use. It’s almost unbelievable that in the 9th major version of the OS it’s missing what seem to be some pretty basic features. However, this also means that it should’t be hard to make it a lot better:”

I had no idea how bad this app was. I use it occasionally when I copy a video to my iPad to watch it in bed, instead of watching on TV. But I really never paid attention to how it handles purchased videos, in part because I don’t buy that much stuff from the iTunes Store. Michael Tsai’s observations are spot on, and this app suffers from the same lack of direction as the iOS Music app, and iTunes on the desktop.

  1. Good article. Though I take exception to ‘lack of direction’, harsher words are needed…
This is the same company that changed music life forever with itunes just a few entries ago.
