That’s embarrassing. But iTunes anomalies stopped surprising me years ago. It’s just sad so many persist to this day.

I had this happen to me a few weeks back. I was infuriated because I was in a hurry. I wound up deleting a couple apps to make room. iTunes very helpfully restored them to the phone for me on the very next sync and popped up the “1gb available, 300mb needed, can’t copy!” error again. I’m actually feeling my blood pressure rising just talking about it. I hate it when iTunes restores apps I deleted from the iPhone. I can never tell when it’s going to do it, either. Sometimes it will, sometimes it won’t. It’s gotten to the point where I just delete apps via iTunes (and even THEN sometimes it puts them back).
It’s enough to make me want to go back to having a dumb flip phone and an iPod.
