I got a new camera: an Olympus OM-D EM-10 (Amazon.com, Amazon UK) . I plan to post photos occasionally, to add some color to this site. Here’s one.

Kirk, you seem to be having a good time with the new camera. I’m the same way when I get a new one. I have been a photographer for 49 years and still get a thrill with a new piece of equipment.
I used to shoot film a very long time ago. Since I stopped, I have only had average quality digital cameras, and iPhones. I finally got a good camera that I can use in manual mode, with a view finder, like what I learned to shoot pictures on.
By the way, if you have any comments or suggestions about any of the photos I post, I would be very happy to hear them.
The bee photo is great; however, the flower behind it in the center is apparently the point of focus as the bee is a little soft. Sometimes, depth of field can get the better of you.
Yes, I noticed that on another photo, and found that the focus wasn’t set to lock. I changed the setting, and that won’t happen again. 🙂
The settings on this camera are probably as complicated as those of a 747.

I use Nikons. I have a D4s and a D4. Although they are basically the same, the instruction manual is 500 pages.
