Photo: Lone Tree

This tree is about 100 yards from my home, just on the edge of a wheat field. It stands alone, with a big copse of trees to one side (not in this photo), and the field spreading out all around it. I plan to take a few pictures of it, in different light, and from different angles, because it’s an interesting tree, and an interesting location.

  1. I enjoy your photos and I’m glad that I get notifications when you post a new one. Please include at least a sentence with each photo, as you often do, telling us something about why you took the picture, what you see in the result, and where or what it is.

  3. Kirk, it would be great if you could post a pic at regular intervals over the course of a year so we could see how the tree and things change in your area. Always from the same spot so as to preserve the look. Thanks.

    • Yes, I might try to do that. For now, I’m going to post a black and white version of the same photo, cropped differently, which gives a different perspective on it.
