This tree is about 100 yards from my home, just on the edge of a wheat field. It stands alone, with a big copse of trees to one side (not in this photo), and the field spreading out all around it. I plan to take a few pictures of it, in different light, and from different angles, because it’s an interesting tree, and an interesting location.

Kirk, it would be great if you could post a pic at regular intervals over the course of a year so we could see how the tree and things change in your area. Always from the same spot so as to preserve the look. Thanks.
Yes, I might try to do that. For now, I’m going to post a black and white version of the same photo, cropped differently, which gives a different perspective on it.
