Shot at Stonehenge this week. I don’t usually like cropping photos to 16:9 format; I find the standard 3:2 format much more appropriate. But for this photo, I feel like it’s necessary because of the shape of the subject.

For me, the extra detail/texture in the full-size image made a huge difference. Looking at the photo here, I thought, “That’s nice.” Looking at the higher resolution image, I thought, “Wow.”
(When I visited Stonehenge, there was a fence around it and a road close by. But that was a long time ago.)
And the image on the web is already scaled down more than half the size of the real full-sized image.
They changed the whole layout of the place a few years ago. There is a large visitors center about a mile away, and you take shuttle buses to get to the stones.
