The Next Track, Episode #227 – The Crutch Interregnum

One of Doug’s favorite words is “interregnum,” and he uses it here to describe the transitional period when record companies lost control of their product.

  1. Doug Adams mentioned his Next Track pick, “The Nightfly”, by of course, Donald Fagen. I love this album and have had it (the CD) since it came out. I’ve read that it was cited for its digital recording and mastering, that it was regarded as a great test recording for digital broadcast quality. I’ll listen for your take on it next time.
