Doug and Kirk don’t know what to talk about for this episode, so they ramble about the smart home, audio gear, TVs, music, and more.

About Apple’s classical music app you’re talking about here– I don’t know about others, but I’ve never liked how Music (and iTunes before it) has never had a category in the playlist format delineating “composer”. And why is it that it’s always listing “song” rather than “piece”, or something closer to “tune” (such as what would be associated with a jazz piece). Apple’s always catered to pop and rock in their categorizations and not classical or jazz.
To me, a song is something to be sung and not just played on instruments. But that’s just me.
Hopefully, these are things that will be different in this new app.
Doug: it’s called “Hedonic Adaptation” – boredom with the new shiny shortly after getting/doing it.
